Jesus Preaches in Galilee

¹⁴ Now after John [the Baptist] was arrested and ^[a]taken into custody, Jesus went to Galilee, preaching the good news of [the kingdom of] God,

¹⁶ I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

The Wisdom of God

¹⁸ For the message of the cross is foolishness [absurd and illogical] to those who are perishing and spiritually dead [because they reject it], but to us who are being saved [by God’s grace] it is [the manifestation of] the power of God.
