71 He began to say strong words and to swear. He said, “I do not know the Man you are talking about!”
72 At once a rooster crowed the second time. Peter remembered what Jesus had said to him, “Before a rooster crows two times, you will say three times you do not know Me.” When he thought about it, he cried.

71 He began to call down curses, and he swore to them, “I don’t know this man you’re talking about.”(A)
72 Immediately the rooster crowed the second time.[a] Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice[b] you will disown me three times.”(B) And he broke down and wept.
