^28 (A)Peter began to say to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and have followed You.” ²⁹ Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, ^(B)there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, ^30 [a]but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in ^[b]the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in ^(C)the age to come, eternal life. ³¹ But ^(D)many who are first will be last, and the last, first.”

The Disciples’ Reward

²⁷ Then Peter responded and said to Him, “Behold, we have left everything and followed You; what then will there be for us?” ²⁸ And Jesus said to them, “Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the ^[a]regeneration when ^(A)the Son of Man will sit on ^[b]His glorious throne, ^(B)you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ²⁹ And ^(C)everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother ^[c]or children or farms on account of My name, will receive ^[d]many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.

²⁸ Peter said, “Behold, ^(A)we have left ^[a]our own homes and followed You.” ²⁹ And He said to them, “Truly I say to you, ^(B)there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children for the sake of the kingdom of God, ³⁰ who will not receive many times as much at this time, and in ^(C)the age to come, eternal life.”
