Mark 14:29-31

²⁹^(A)Peter said to Him, “Even if all are made to ^[a]stumble, yet I will not be.”

³⁰Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you that today, even this night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny Me three times.”

³¹But he spoke more vehemently, “If I have to die with You, I will not deny You!”

And they all said likewise.

³⁰“Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “today—yes, tonight—before the rooster crows twice^[a] you yourself will disown me three times.”^(A)

³¹But Peter insisted emphatically, “Even if I have to die with you,^(B) I will never disown you.” And all the others said the same.
