The Ascension

⁹ And after He had said these things, ^(A)He was lifted up while they were watching, and a cloud took Him up, out of their sight.

⁸ Therefore ^[a]it says,

⁹ (Now this expression, “He ^(C)ascended,” what ^[b]does it mean except that He also ^[c]had descended into ^(D)the lower parts of the earth?

^3 [a]And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact ^(A)representation of His nature, and ^[b](B)upholds all things by ^[c]the word of His power. When He had made ^(C)purification of sins, He ^(D)sat down at the right hand of the ^(E)Majesty on high,
