44 If David then calls him ‘Lord,’ how can he be his son?”[a]

Jesus Warns the Disciples against Pride

45 As[b] all the people were listening, Jesus[c] said to his disciples, 46 “Beware[d] of the experts in the law.[e] They[f] like walking around in long robes, and they love elaborate greetings[g] in the marketplaces[h] and the best seats[i] in the synagogues[j] and the places of honor at banquets.
