Luke 5:34-36

34 So he[a] said[b] to them, “You are not able to make the bridegroom’s attendants[c] fast as long as the bridegroom is with them, are you?[d] 35 But days will come, and when the bridegroom is taken away from them, then they will fast in those days.” 36 And he also told a parable to them: “No one tears a patch from a new garment and[e] puts it[f] on an old garment. Otherwise, he will have torn the new also, and the old will not match the patch that is from the new.

New International Version
34 Jesus answered, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom(A) fast while he is with them? 35 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them;(B) in those days they will fast.”
36 He told them this parable: “No one tears a piece out of a new garment to patch an old one. Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old.
