34 And Jesus said to them, (A)“Can you make wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them? 35 (B)The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and (C)then they will fast in those days.” 36 He also told them a parable: “No one tears a piece from a new garment and puts it on an old garment. If he does, he will tear the new, and the piece from the new will not match the old.

34 Jesus answered, “Can you make the friends of the bridegroom(A) fast while he is with them? 35 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them;(B) in those days they will fast.”
36 He told them this parable: “No one tears a piece out of a new garment to patch an old one. Otherwise, they will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old.
