11 But these words appeared [a]to them as nonsense, and they (A)were not believing them. 12 But Peter stood up and (B)ran to the tomb; and stooping to look in, he *saw the linen wrappings [b]only. And he went away (C)by himself, marveling at what had happened.

13 And behold, (D)two of them were going that same day to a village named Emmaus, which was [c]sixty stadia from Jerusalem.

11 But they did not believe(A) the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. 12 Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. Bending over, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves,(B) and he went away,(C) wondering to himself what had happened.

13 Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles[a] from Jerusalem.(D)
