24 “Show Me a denarius[a]. Of whom does it have an image[b] and inscription?” And the ones said, “Of Caesar”. 25 And the One said to them, “Well-then[c] give-back[d] the things of Caesar to Caesar, and the things of God to God”. 26 And they were not able to take-hold-of a word of His in the presence of the people. And having marveled at His answer, they became silent.

24 “Show me a denarius. Whose image and inscription are on it?”
“Caesar’s,” they replied.
25 He said to them, “Then give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s,(A) and to God what is God’s.”
26 They were unable to trap him in what he had said there in public. And astonished by his answer, they became silent.
