¹¹ Today a Savior,^(A) who is Messiah^(B) the Lord,^(C) was born for you in the city of David.

The Lamb of God

²⁹ The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Here is the Lamb of God,^(A) who takes away the sin^(B) of the world!

¹² There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people, and we must be saved by it.”^(A)

³¹ God exalted this man to His right hand as ruler and Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.^(A)

²³ “From this man’s descendants, according to the promise, God brought the Savior, Jesus,^[a] to Israel.^(A)

³⁸ Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you,^{(A) 39} and everyone who believes in Him is justified from everything that you could not be justified from through the law of Moses.^(B)
