¹⁶Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy mina has gained ten minas.

¹⁷And he said unto him, Well done, thou good slave; because thou hast been faithful in a very little, thou shalt have authority over ten cities.

¹⁸And the second came, saying, Lord, thy mina has made five minas.

¹⁶“The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’

¹⁷“‘Well done, my good servant!’^(A) his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’^(B)

¹⁸“The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.’
