22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “One thing you still lack. (A)Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have (B)treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.” 23 (C)But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich. 24 Jesus, seeing that he had become sad, said, (D)“How difficult it is for those who have wealth to enter (E)the kingdom of God!

23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
