39 And the Lord said to him, (A)“Now you Pharisees cleanse the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside you are full of (B)greed and wickedness. 40 (C)You fools! (D)Did not he who made the outside make the inside also? 41 But (E)give as alms those things that are within, and behold, (F)everything is clean for you.

42 (G)“But woe to you Pharisees! For (H)you tithe mint and rue and every herb, and neglect (I)justice and (J)the love of God. (K)These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others.

42 “Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth(F) of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God.(G) You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.(H)
