28 You shall not do any work on this special day,[a] because it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before the Lord your God. 29 Indeed, anyone who does not humble himself on this special day will be cut off from his people. 30 Anyone who does any work on this very special day, I will exterminate from the midst of his people.
