¹⁵ Then shall he kill the goat of the sin-offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy-seat, and before the mercy-seat:

¹² For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us; for our transgressions are with us, and as for our iniquities, we know them:

⁶ For we are all become as one that is unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as a polluted garment: and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

¹⁶ who in the generations gone by suffered all the ^[a]nations to walk in their own ways.

³⁰ The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now he ^[a]commandeth men that they should all everywhere repent:

¹² For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him:

²² But the scripture shut up all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

⁸ for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

²⁰ and through him to reconcile all things ^[a]unto ^[b]himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, I say, whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens.

¹² nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption.
