²¹ “^(A)But if he is poor and his ^[a]means are insufficient, then he is to take one male lamb for a ^(B)guilt offering as a wave offering to make atonement for him, and a tenth of an ^[b]ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and a ^[c](C)log of oil, ²² and two turtledoves or two young doves, which ^[d]are within his means. ^(D)The one shall be a ^[e](E)sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.

¹³ However, Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go, do as you have said. Just make me a little bread loaf from ^[a]it first and bring it out to me, and afterward you may make one for yourself and for your son. ¹⁴ For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel says: ‘The ^[b]bowl of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil become empty, until the day that the Lord provides rain on the face of the earth.’” ¹⁵ So she went and did everything in accordance with the word of Elijah, and she and he and her household ate for many days. ¹⁶ The ^[c]bowl of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil become empty, in accordance with the word of the Lord which He spoke through Elijah.

⁴ so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and ^(A)your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

⁵ “And when you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to ^(B)stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners ^(C)so that they ^[a]will be seen by people. ^(D)Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. ⁶ But as for you, when you pray, ^(E)go into your inner room, close your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret; and ^(F)your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

^21 (A)At that very ^[a]time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I ^[b]praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for doing so was well pleasing in Your sight.
