^43 (A)You shall not make yourselves detestable with any swarming thing that swarms, and you shall not defile yourselves with them, and become unclean through them. ⁴⁴ For I am the Lord your God. Consecrate yourselves therefore, and ^(B)be holy, for I am holy. ^(C)You shall not defile yourselves with any swarming thing that crawls on the ground.

^34 (A)You shall not defile the land in which you live, in the midst of which I dwell, ^(B)for I the Lord dwell in the midst of the people of Israel.”

⁵ Your lamb shall be ^(A)without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats,
