³⁹ Then Gideon said to God, “^(A)Do not let Your anger burn against me, so that I may speak only one more time; please let me put You to the test only one more time with the fleece: let it now be dry only on the fleece, and let there be dew on all the ground.”

¹⁰ Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that You would greatly bless me and extend my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would ^[a]keep me from harm so that it would not hurt me!” And God brought about what he requested.

Gabriel Brings an Answer

²⁰ While I was still ^(A)speaking and praying, and ^(B)confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and ^[a]presenting my plea before the Lord my God in behalf of the holy mountain of my God,

^6 (A)Do not ^[a]be anxious about anything, but in everything by ^(B)prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
