6 I took her body home and I cut it into 12 pieces. I sent the pieces everywhere in the land of Israel. I did this to show what a terrible thing these men had done. 7 So now all you people of Israel must decide what you will do about it.’
8 All the people stood up together. They all promised, ‘None of us will go home. Not one of us will return to his house.

6 I took my concubine, cut her into pieces and sent one piece to each region of Israel’s inheritance,(A) because they committed this lewd and outrageous act(B) in Israel. 7 Now, all you Israelites, speak up and tell me what you have decided to do.(C)”
8 All the men rose up together as one, saying, “None of us will go home. No, not one of us will return to his house.
