12 One night they camped near Kiriath-Jearim in the territory of Judah, and that's why the place just west of Kiriath-Jearim is still known as Dan's Camp.[a] 13 Then they went into the hill country of Ephraim.

When they came close to Micah's house, 14 the five men who had been spies asked the other warriors, “Did you know that someone in this village has several idols and a sacred priestly vest? What do you think we should do about it?”

14 Then the five men who had spied out the land of Laish(D) said to their fellow Danites, “Do you know that one of these houses has an ephod,(E) some household gods and an image overlaid with silver?(F) Now you know what to do.”
