17 But you must (A)remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 18 They[a] said to you, (B)“In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” 19 It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, (C)devoid of the Spirit.

33 Wisdom (A)rests in the heart of a man of understanding,
but it makes itself known even in the midst of fools.[a]
34 Righteousness exalts a nation,
but sin is a reproach to any people.
35 A servant who deals wisely has (B)the king's favor,
but his wrath falls on one who acts shamefully.
