52 Arab, Dumah,(N) Eshan, 53 Janim, Beth Tappuah, Aphekah, 54 Humtah, Kiriath Arba(O) (that is, Hebron) and Zior—nine towns and their villages.
55 Maon,(P) Carmel,(Q) Ziph,(R) Juttah,(S) 56 Jezreel,(T) Jokdeam, Zanoah,(U) 57 Kain, Gibeah(V) and Timnah(W)—ten towns and their villages.
58 Halhul, Beth Zur,(X) Gedor,(Y) 59 Maarath, Beth Anoth and Eltekon—six towns and their villages.[a]
60 Kiriath Baal(Z) (that is, Kiriath Jearim(AA)) and Rabbah(AB)—two towns and their villages.
61 In the wilderness:(AC)
Beth Arabah,(AD) Middin, Sekakah, 62 Nibshan, the City of Salt and En Gedi(AE)—six towns and their villages.
63 Judah could not(AF) dislodge the Jebusites(AG), who were living in Jerusalem;(AH) to this day the Jebusites live there with the people of Judah.(AI)
