¹² On the day the Lord gave the Amorites over to the Israelites, Joshua spoke to the Lord in the presence of Israel:

³¹ The Israelites struck down the Philistines that day from Michmash^(A) all the way to Aijalon.^(B) Since the Israelites were completely exhausted,

¹⁸ The Philistines also raided the cities of the Judean foothills^[a] and the Negev of Judah.^(A) They captured and occupied Beth-shemesh, Aijalon, and Gederoth, as well as Soco, Timnah, and Gimzo with their surrounding villages.
