Jonah 2:6-10
New American Standard Bible
6 I (A)descended to the base of the mountains.
The earth with its (B)bars was around me forever,
But You have (C)brought up my life from [a]the pit, Lord my God.
7 While [b]I was (D)fainting away,
I (E)remembered the Lord,
And my (F)prayer came to You,
Into (G)Your holy temple.
8 Those who (H)are followers of worthless [c]idols
Abandon their faithfulness,
9 But I will (I)sacrifice to You
With a voice of thanksgiving.
That which I have vowed I will (J)pay.
(K)Salvation is from the Lord.”
10 Then the Lord commanded the (L)fish, and it vomited Jonah up onto the dry land.

I remembered(C) you, Lord,
and my prayer(D) rose to you,
to your holy temple.(E)

turn away from God’s love for them.
