²³ And He was saying to them, “^(A)You are from below, I am from above; ^(B)you are of this world, ^(C)I am not of this world.

²⁸ So Jesus said, “When you ^(A)lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that ^[a](B)I am, and ^(C)I do nothing ^[b]on My own, but I say these things as the Father instructed Me.

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham ^[a]was born, ^[b](A)I am.” ⁵⁹ Therefore they ^(B)picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus ^(C)hid Himself and left the temple grounds.

¹⁹ From now on ^(A)I am telling you before it happens, so that when it does happen, you may believe that ^(B)I am He.

^3 (A)So Judas, having obtained ^(B)the Roman ^[a]cohort and ^(C)officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees, *came there with lanterns, ^(D)torches, and weapons. ⁴ Jesus therefore, ^(E)knowing all the things that were coming upon Him, came out into the open and *said to them, “^(F)Whom are you seeking?” ⁵ They answered Him, “Jesus the Nazarene.” He *said to them, “I am He.” And Judas also, who was betraying Him, was standing with them.
