²⁶ Jesus said to her, ^(A)“I who speak to you am He.”

²⁰ But He said to them, ^(A)“It is I; do not be afraid.”

^24 (A)Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; ^(B)for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

²⁸ Then Jesus said to them, “When you ^(A)lift^[a] up the Son of Man, ^(B)then you will know that I am He, and ^(C)that I do nothing of Myself; but ^(D)as My Father taught Me, I speak these things.

^19 (A)Now I tell you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe that I am He.

⁵ They answered Him, ^(A)“Jesus ^[a]of Nazareth.”

Jesus said to them, “I am He.” And Judas, who ^(B)betrayed Him, also stood with them. ⁶ Now when He said to them, “I am He,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

⁷ Then He asked them again, “Whom are you seeking?”

And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”

⁸ Jesus answered, “I have told you that I am He. Therefore, if you seek Me, let these go their way,”
