²¹ They will build houses^(A) and dwell in them;
    they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.^(B)

    the work of their hands.

    or an old man who does not live out his years;^(E)
the one who dies at a hundred
    will be thought a mere child;
the one who fails to reach^[a] a hundred
    will be considered accursed.

²⁵ The wolf and the lamb^(S) will feed together,
    and the lion will eat straw like the ox,^(T)
    and dust will be the serpent’s^(U) food.
They will neither harm nor destroy
    on all my holy mountain,”^(V)
says the Lord.

19 The sun will no more be your light by day,
    nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you,
for the Lord will be your everlasting light,^(E)
    and your God will be your glory.^(F)
20 Your sun^(G) will never set again,
    and your moon will wane no more;
the Lord will be your everlasting light,
    and your days of sorrow^(H) will end.
²¹ Then all your people will be righteous^(I)
    and they will possess^(J) the land forever.
They are the shoot I have planted,^(K)
    the work of my hands,^(L)
    for the display of my splendor.^(M)
22 The least of you will become a thousand,
    the smallest a mighty nation.^(N)
I am the Lord;
    in its time I will do this swiftly.”^(O)

⁶ There will be a day when watchmen^(A) cry out
    on the hills of Ephraim,
‘Come, let us go up to Zion,
    to the Lord our God.’”^(B)

“Sing^(C) with joy for Jacob;
    shout for the foremost^(D) of the nations.
Make your praises heard, and say,
    ‘Lord, save^(E) your people,
    the remnant^(F) of Israel.’
