^11 (A)“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

^13 (A)Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

⁷ For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. ⁸ But ^(A)God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

² And ^(A)walk in love, ^(B)as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God ^(C)for a sweet-smelling aroma.

The Outworking of Love

^16 (A)By this we know love, ^(B)because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
