John 9:39-41

³⁹Therefore Jesus said to him, I came into this world, into doom, that they that see not, see, and they that see, be made blind.

⁴⁰And some of the Pharisees heard, that were with him, and they said to him, Whether [and] we be blind?

⁴¹Jesus said to them, If ye were blind, ye should not have sin; but now ye say, That we see, your sin dwelleth still [your sin dwelleth].

John 9:39-41

New International Version

³⁹Jesus said,^[a] “For judgment^(A) I have come into this world,^(B) so that the blind will see^(C) and those who see will become blind.”^(D)

⁴⁰Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?”^(E)

⁴¹Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.^(F)
