3 Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but (A)that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 We must (B)work the works of him who sent me (C)while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, (D)I am the light of the world.” 6 Having said these things, (E)he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. New International Version
3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.(A) 4 As long as it is day,(B) we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”(C)
6 After saying this, he spit(D) on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes.
