19 So they were saying to Him, “Where is Your Father?” Jesus answered, “You know neither Me nor My Father; (A)if you knew Me, you would know My Father also.” 20 These words He spoke [a]in (B)the treasury, as (C)He taught in the temple area; and no one arrested Him, because (D)His hour had not yet come.

21 Then He said again to them, “I am going away, and (E)you will look for Me, and (F)will die in your sin; where I am going, you cannot come.” 22 So (G)the Jews were saying, “Surely He will not kill Himself, will He, since He says, (H)Where I am going, you cannot come’?” 23 And He was saying to them, (I)You are from below, I am from above; (J)you are of this world, (K)I am not of this world. 24 Therefore I said to you that you (L)will die in your sins; for unless you believe that [b](M)I am, (N)you will die in your sins.”

Dispute Over Who Jesus Is

21 Once more Jesus said to them, “I am going away, and you will look for me, and you will die(F) in your sin. Where I go, you cannot come.”(G)

22 This made the Jews ask, “Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, ‘Where I go, you cannot come’?”

23 But he continued, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world.(H) 24 I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am he,(I) you will indeed die in your sins.”
