John 7:25-31

25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?
26 But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?
27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.
28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.
30 Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
31 And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?

25 Now some of them from Jerusalem said, “Is this not He whom they seek to (A)kill? 26 But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. (B)Do the rulers know indeed that this is [a]truly the Christ? 27 (C)However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from.”
28 Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, (D)“You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and (E)I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me (F)is true, (G)whom you do not know. 29 [b]But (H)I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.”

Can it be that (C)the authorities really know that this is the Christ? 27 But (D)we know (E)where this man comes from, and when the Christ appears, (F)no one will know where he comes from.” 28 So Jesus proclaimed, (G)as he taught in the temple, (H)“You know me, and you know where I come from. But (I)I have not come of my own accord. Is it possible that the rulers really know that this is the Christ? 27 But we know where this Man is from; whenever the Christ comes, no one will know where He is from.” 28 Then Jesus called out as He taught in the temple, “You know Me and know where I am from; and I have not come on my own initiative [as self-appointed], but He who sent Me is true, and Him you do not know. 29 I know Him Myself because I am from Him [I came from His very presence] and it was He [personally] who sent Me.” 30 So they were eager to arrest Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His time had not yet come. 31 But many from the crowd believed in Him. And they kept saying, “When the Christ comes, will He do more signs and exhibit more proofs than this Man?”
