³¹ “^(A)If I alone testify about Myself, My testimony is not ^[a]true. ³² There is ^(B)another who testifies about Me, and I know that the testimony which He gives about Me is true.

Testimony of John the Baptist

³³ You have sent messengers to John, and he ^(C)has testified to the truth. ³⁴ But ^(D)the testimony I receive is not from man, but I say these things so that you may be saved.

The Witness John the Baptist

⁶ A man ^[a]came, one sent from God, and his name was ^(A)John. ^7 [b]He came ^[c](B)as a witness, to testify about the Light, ^(C)so that all might believe through him.

²² Moses said, ‘^(A)The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your countrymen; to Him you shall listen regarding everything He says to you. ^23 (B)And it shall be that every ^(C)soul that does not listen to that prophet ^(D)shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.’

¹⁰ And His disciples asked Him, “Why then do the scribes say that ^(A)Elijah must come first?” ¹¹ And He answered and said, “Elijah is coming and will restore all things;

⁵ “Behold, I am going to send you ^(A)Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord. ⁶ He will ^(B)turn the hearts of the fathers back to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and ^(C)strike the land with complete destruction.”

¹¹ Then I said to him, “What are these ^(A)two olive trees on the right of the lampstand and on its left?” ¹² And I responded the second time and said to him, “What are the two olive ^[a]branches which are beside the two golden pipes, which empty the golden oil from themselves?” ¹³ So he answered me, saying, “^(B)Do you not know what these are?” And I said, “No, ^(C)my lord.” ¹⁴ Then he said, “These are the two ^[b](D)anointed ones, who are ^(E)standing by the ^(F)Lord of the whole earth.”

²³ “Then I will ^(A)appoint over them one ^(B)shepherd, My servant ^(C)David, and he will feed them; he will feed them himself and be their shepherd. ²⁴ And I, the Lord, will be their God, and My servant ^(D)David will be prince among them; I the Lord have spoken.

²⁵ “And I will make a ^(E)covenant of peace with them and ^(F)eliminate harmful animals from the land, so that they may ^(G)live securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.
