35 You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe[a] for harvest. 36 The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike! 37 You know the saying, ‘One plants and another harvests.’ And it’s true.

35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.(A) 36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests(B) a crop for eternal life,(C) so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. 37 Thus the saying ‘One sows and another reaps’(D) is true.
