14 This was now the (A)third time that Jesus revealed Himself to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead.

15 Now when they had (B)finished breakfast, Jesus *said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you [a](C)love Me more than these?” He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I [b]love You.” He *said to him, “Tend (D)My lambs.” 16 He *said to him again, a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you [c]love Me?” He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I [d]love You.” He *said to him, “(E)Shepherd My sheep.” 17 He *said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you [e]love Me?” Peter was [f]hurt because He said to him (F)the third time, “Do you [g]love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, (G)You know all things; You know that I [h]love You.” Jesus *said to him, “(H)Tend My sheep.
