¹⁸So the Jews replied to Him, “What sign of authority will You show us for doing these things?”

¹⁹Jesus answered, “Destroy this sanctuary,^(A) and I will raise it up in three days.”^(B)

²⁰Therefore the Jews said, “This sanctuary took 46 years to build, and will You raise it up in three days?”^(C)

¹⁹Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”^(D)

²⁰They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?”
