John 19:33-36

33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out (A)blood and water. 35 (B)He who saw it has borne witness—(C)his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth—(D)that you also may believe. 36 (E)For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: (F)“Not one of his bones (G)will be broken.”

33 But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced(A) Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water.(B) 35 The man who saw it(C) has given testimony, and his testimony is true.(D) He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. 36 These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled:(E) “Not one of his bones will be broken,”[a](F)
