⁶ Jesus said to him, “I am ^(A)the way, ^(B)the truth, and ^(C)the life. ^(D)No one comes to the Father ^(E)except through Me.

Who Is the Greatest?^(A)

^46 (B)Then a dispute arose among them as to which of them would be greatest. ⁴⁷ And Jesus, ^(C)perceiving the thought of their heart, took a ^(D)little child and set him by Him, ⁴⁸ and said to them, ^(E)“Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and ^(F)whoever receives Me ^(G)receives Him who sent Me. ^(H)For he who is least among you all will be great.”

¹⁹ Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?”

²⁰ So Jesus said to them, “Because of your ^[a]unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, ^(A)if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

²³ But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, ^(A)Satan! ^(B)You are ^[a]an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

³³ Peter answered and said to Him, “Even if all are ^[a]made to stumble because of You, I will never be made to stumble.”

³⁴ Jesus said to him, ^(A)“Assuredly, I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”

³⁵ Peter said to Him, “Even if I have to die with You, I will not deny You!”

And so said all the disciples.

⁹ If we ^(A)confess our sins, He is ^(B)faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to ^(C)cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
