2 And [a]supper being ended, (A)the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him, 3 Jesus, knowing (B)that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He (C)had come from God and (D)was going to God, 4 (E)rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.

2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.(A) 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power,(B) and that he had come from God(C) and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.(D)
