³¹ Now is the time for judgment on this world;^(A) now the prince of this world^(B) will be driven out. ³² And I, when I am lifted up^[a] from the earth,^(C) will draw all people to myself.”^{(D) 33} He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.^(E)

² The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.^(A)

³⁰ I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world^(A) is coming. He has no hold over me, ³¹ but he comes so that the world may learn that I love the Father and do exactly what my Father has commanded me.^(B)
