16 (A)These things His disciples did not understand at the first; but when Jesus (B)was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of Him, and that they had done these things for Him. 17 So (C)the [a]people, who were with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, continued to testify about Him. 18 (D)For this reason also the [b]people went to meet Him, (E)because they heard that He had performed this [c]sign.

16 At first his disciples did not understand all this.(A) Only after Jesus was glorified(B) did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him.
17 Now the crowd that was with him(C) when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. 18 Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign,(D) went out to meet him.
