²⁶ but you do not believe because you are not my sheep.^{(A) 27} My sheep listen to my voice; I know them,^(B) and they follow me.^{(C) 28} I give them eternal life,^(D) and they shall never perish;^(E) no one will snatch them out of my hand.^{(F) 29} My Father, who has given them to me,^(G) is greater than all^[a];^(H) no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.

¹⁹ Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm,^(A) sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,”^(B) and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord^(C) must turn away from wickedness.”
