³⁹ then hear in heaven, Your dwelling place, and forgive and act, and give to each in accordance with all his ways, ^(A)whose heart You know—for ^(B)You alone know the hearts of all ^[a]mankind—

⁵ But ^(A)if anyone has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow not for me, but in some degree—^[a]not to say too much—for all of you.

⁹ For to this end ^(A)I also wrote, so that I might ^[a](B)put you to the test, whether you are ^(C)obedient in all things.

¹⁰ and they cried out with a loud voice, saying, “^(A)How long, O ^[a](B)Lord, ^(C)holy and true, ^[b]will You refrain from ^(D)judging and avenging our blood on ^(E)those who live on the earth?”
