He spreads out the northern skies(A) over empty space;
    he suspends the earth over nothing.(B)
He wraps up the waters(C) in his clouds,(D)
    yet the clouds do not burst under their weight.
He covers the face of the full moon,
    spreading his clouds(E) over it.
10 He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters(F)
    for a boundary between light and darkness.(G)
11 The pillars of the heavens quake,(H)
    aghast at his rebuke.
12 By his power he churned up the sea;(I)
    by his wisdom(J) he cut Rahab(K) to pieces.
13 By his breath the skies(L) became fair;
    his hand pierced the gliding serpent.(M)

He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them.

He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.

10 He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

12 He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud.

37 “At this my heart pounds(C)
    and leaps from its place.
Listen!(D) Listen to the roar of his voice,(E)
    to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.(F)
He unleashes his lightning(G) beneath the whole heaven
    and sends it to the ends of the earth.(H)
After that comes the sound of his roar;
    he thunders(I) with his majestic voice.(J)
When his voice resounds,
    he holds nothing back.
God’s voice thunders(K) in marvelous ways;(L)
    he does great things beyond our understanding.(M)

Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
