⁴ They thrust the needy^(A) from the path
    and force all the poor^(B) of the land into hiding.^(C)

¹⁸ But God will never forget the needy;
    the hope^(A) of the afflicted^(B) will never perish.

¹⁹ Better to be lowly in spirit along with the oppressed
    than to share plunder with the proud.

⁴ but with righteousness^(A) he will judge the needy,^(B)
    with justice^(C) he will give decisions for the poor^(D) of the earth.
He will strike^(E) the earth with the rod of his mouth;^(F)
    with the breath^(G) of his lips he will slay the wicked.^(H)
