²⁹ He who has the bride is ^(A)the groom; but the friend of the groom, who stands and listens to him, rejoices greatly because of the groom’s voice. So this ^(B)joy of mine has been made full.

¹⁸ And I also say to you that you are ^[a](A)Peter, and upon this ^[b]rock I will build My church; and the gates of ^(B)Hades will not overpower it.

¹⁷ And if he refuses to listen to them, ^(A)tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, ^(B)he is to be to you as ^[a]a Gentile and ^[b]a tax collector. ¹⁸ Truly I say to you, ^(C)whatever you ^[c]bind on earth ^[d]shall have been bound in heaven; and whatever you ^[e]loose on earth ^[f]shall have been loosed in heaven.
