¹¹ Has this house, which bears my name, become a den of robbers^(A) in your view? Yes, I too have seen it.^(B)

This is the Lord’s declaration.

² For you yourselves know very well that the day of the Lord^(A) will come just like a thief^(B) in the night.

⁴ But you, brothers and sisters, are not in the dark, for this day to surprise you like a thief.^(A)

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord^(A) will come like a thief;^[a](B) on that day the heavens will pass away^(C) with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved,^(D) and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.^[b][c]

³ Remember, then, what you have received and heard; keep it, and repent. If you are not alert, I will come^[a] like a thief, and you have no idea at what hour I will come upon you.^(A)
