² “Take a scroll^(A) and write on it all the words^(B) I have spoken to you concerning Israel, Judah and all the other nations from the time I began speaking to you in the reign of Josiah^(C) till now.

⁷ You must speak^(A) my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious.^{(B) 8} But you, son of man, listen to what I say to you. Do not rebel^(C) like that rebellious people;^(D) open your mouth and eat^(E) what I give you.”

⁹ Then I looked, and I saw a hand^(F) stretched out to me. In it was a scroll,^{(G) 10} which he unrolled before me. On both sides of it were written words of lament and mourning and woe.^(H)
