Jeremiah 14:7-9

⁷ Though our ^(A)wrongdoings testify against us,
Lord, act ^(B)for the sake of Your name!
Our ^(C)apostasies have indeed been many,
We have ^(D)sinned against You.
^8 (E)Hope of Israel,
Its ^(F)Savior in ^(G)time of distress,
Why are You like a stranger in the land,
Or like a traveler who has pitched his tent for the night?
⁹ Why are You like a confused person,
Like a warrior who ^(H)cannot save?
Yet ^(I)You are in our midst, Lord,
And we are ^(J)called by Your name;
Do not leave us!”
